Carmen Colón

Carmen was born to Rafaela Vazquez and Jose Albino in Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico.

She came to New York City in September of 1946, and met her future husband, Daniel Colón, Sr., shortly thereafter. They married in October of 1950, and went on to have two children, Marilyn and Daniel, Jr.

In the decades that followed, Carmen and Daniel would own and jointly operate several retail businesses in both New York and Miami, as well as invest in real estate.

Carmen is predeceased by her husband, Daniel, Sr. She is survived by her two children, Marilyn Colón and Daniel Colón, Jr.: and her three grandchildren, Vanessa, Antonia and Alessandro.

The visitation will be held on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at 5 p.m. in Chapel H of Caballero Rivero Westchester, 8200 SW 40th St, Miami, FL 33155. The following day, she will receive a Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. at Miami Memorial Park 6200 SW 77 Avenue, Miami, FL 33143.
