Barbara Kanzer of Miami , Florida passed away peacefully on July 7, 2024. She was 87 years old.
Barbara ( Bobbi ) was a proud graduate of the University of Miami. She was a long time public high school teacher , and had a particular expertise in both Florida and local Dade County history.
Bobbi had a passion for antiquing , and was an avid collector of fine art , jewelry , oriental rugs , quilts , basketry , stained glass , and pottery.
Bobbi was predeceased by her husband , Lawrence Kanzer. She will always be remembered by her loving family: Sons , Stephen Kanzer and Kevin Kanzer , daughter in law , Leila Kanzer , and cherished grandchildren , Haley Kanzer and Brian Kanzer.
A private burial was held in Bobbi’s hometown of Homestead , Florida.
Donations in Bobbi’s memory can be made to Temple Hatikva Homestead Jewish Center or the American Cancer Society.
