Annie Hew

At a young age, Annie developed a love of cooking. Her favorite meals to cook were ackee and saltfish, fish, shrimp, duck, and wine soup. It brought joy to her heart to cook for her family. She also love fruits, plants, roses and violets.

While living in Jamaica, Annie met the love of her life Stephen Hew. The two would later marry on August 3, 1941. Their union was blessed with six children whom she loved dearly.

Annie and her family later relocated to the United States in August of 1976, where resided until the time of her passing. She will truly be missed by all that loved and knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Stephen Hew, son Raymond Hew, parents Henry and Mary Chin Young, and siblings Blanche, Lena, William, Isaac, and Nina.

Annie leaves to cherish her memories in their hearts her sons: Errol Hew (Margaret), Clifton Hew (Junette), and Andrew Hew; daughters: Jeannette Hew-Grant, and Kim Hew-Chin (Hector); daughter in-law: Carol Hew; grandchildren: Lisa Hew-Williams, Dionne Hew, Stephen Hew (Stella), Caryn Hew-Demessa (Dave), Daryl Hew (Betty), Robert Chin, and Ryan Chin; great grandchildren: Alec Williams, Amelia Williams, Hailey Demessa, Jacob Demessa, Riley Demessa, Sam Hew, Skyler Hew, Scott Hew, Summer Hew, and Mila Demessa.

The bible says that we are promised three scores and ten, but by reason of strength four scores. Our beloved mother lived almost five scores. At the age of 99, our mother Ms. Annie Hew was called from labor to reward.
