Ann B. Brown passed away peacefully at home January 7, 2023. Ann was born on March 8, 1926, in Santiago, Chile. Arthur and Jean White, Ann’s parents, were British subjects working abroad. In 1929 Arthur White was transferred to Cuba for work and the family relocated. In 1930 Jane Ann’s sister was born. Ann grew up in Cuba and on October 16, 1947, married Stephen Robert Brown (Bobby). Bobby passed away July 3, 2015, they were married 59 years.
Like many other Cuban families in 1960 Bobby and Ann with four children fled Castro’s communist revolution and settled in Miami, were they raised their family.
Ann is survived by her sister Jane and her three nieces Susan, Kathleen, and Sarah who all live in Canada.
Ann and Bobby had five children Mary Ann, Bob (Rosana), Steve, Donald (Ruthanne), Buster (Cristina). Fourteen grandchildren Warren (Missy), Rachel, Andrew (Lindsay), Tanya (Rob), Jeannie (Juan Carlos), Jessica, Ivette, Jennifer (Anthony), Kimberly, Christopher, Eric, Alexandra, Bobby, and Danny. Fifteen greatgrandchildren Bryson, Addison, Avery, Lilly, Robert, Nolan, Anderson, Lydia, Declan, Canon, Marcus, Grace, Javier, Ella, and Elise. Jovan Wilcox joined the family at age 12 after Buster sponsored him in the Big Brothers program.
Ann embraced all her familial roles, daughter, sister, wife, sister-in law, mother, mother-in law, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt to many, with love, caring and devotion.
Ann Brown will be reposed at Caballero Rivero Sunset, 7355 SW 117 Ave, Miami, Florida on Monday January 16, 2023, from 7:00-10:00pm.
Mass will be celebrated at St. Brendan Catholic Church, 8725 SW 32 Street, Miami, Florida on Tuesday January 17, 2023, at 12:30pm.
Burial will be at Our Lady of Mercy 11411 NW 25th Street at 2:00pm.
