Thomas David Murphy, age 79 went to be with our lord and savior on Sunday, September 11, 2011. Beloved husband of Ede Esopi Murphy. Father of Thomas K. Murphy, Wayne W. Murphy, Nanci L. Murphy and Jeani M. Olivier. Grandfather of Paulina Murphy, Kenan Murphy, Gwen Murphy, Preston Olivier, Ethan Olivier, and Jeanne Olivier. Son of the late E. Marion Murphy and Louise Rouse Murphy. Brother of Edgar Murphy, Freeman Murphy, Ken Murphy, Helen Murphy Matthews and Lynn Murphy. Mr. Murphy retired from Shell Oil Co. and United States Coast Guard.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie on Wednesday, September 14, 2011. Visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with Chapel Services at 8:00 p.m. Interment and Graveside Services on Friday, September, 16, 2011 in Pink Hill, NC.
