Thomas Michael Durnin

Thomas M. “Pat” Durnin, age 86, passed away on Sunday April 14, 2013. Beloved husband of Florence D. Durnin. Loving father of Susan D. Catalano (Wayne), David M. Durnin (Leslie) and the late Thomas Durnin, Jr. (Nancy). Proud grandfather of David M. Durnin Jr., Jennifer D. Gonzales, Michael J. Catalano, Elizabeth D. Fisher, Amanda Taylor, Chris Rothermel and the late Timothy D. Souther. Great grandfather of Evan, Eli and Levi Gonzales, Jillian Fisher, Isabella and Zachary Taylor. Preceded in death by his parents Michael Durnin and Catherine McMullen Durnin and his sister Shirley D. Hubble. Brother of Florine D. Gautreau. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family. Proud native of the Irish Channel and a resident of Chalmette. Mr. Durnin was a Navy Veteran of WWII. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the staff at Chateau de Notre Dame and Notre Dame Hospice.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd. Metairie on Saturday April 20, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Visitation from 11:00 am until service time. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery No. 1.
