She was born in Key West, Florida in 1955, and also lived in New Orleans, Mexico, Spain, Tennessee, Colorado, and Metairie. Her education included degrees in Spanish and Hospital Administration.
Suzette's interests included Spanish and Native American culture. She also enjoyed reading articles on Archaeology, Astrology, and Cuisine. She did not embrace a particular religion yet was very spiritual and interested in dimensions outside of this one. Suzette embodied positive energy. She loved all animals, especially her cats, namely Jazz, and her sister's dogs. She would move mountains for her sons. She loved and protected them fiercely.
Suzette had many virtues and attributes such as humility, kindness, compassion, patience, and forgiveness. However, her most notable ones were generosity and gratitude. She appreciated everything in life and would give more than she had.
Preceded in death by her mother, Christina, she is survived by her father, Jose, her sister, Lynette, and her sons, Ryan and Christian, who will always miss her love.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd, from 11:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m., at which time Suzette's family encourages all in attendance to gather in the chapel to share fond memories in her honor.
