Steven "Bootsie" Bertolino

Son of the late Josephine Falco Bertolino and Alberto Bertolino.

He is survived by his sisters, Mary Marchese and Nancy Waguespack (Ronald), sister-in-law Rita M. Bertolino and preceded in death by his brother Anthony “Muss” Bertolino and brother-in-law Peter Marchese.

Also survived by his loving nieces, Regina B., Rita B., Cathy B., Cathy G., Lisa B., and nephews, Albert, Ronnie, Tony, Alberto, Salvadore and the late Philip.

He will also be missed dearly by his fiance’, Trudy Melancon and his close friends, Albert Chimento, Bob Leake and W. T. Verges.

Also survived by other numerous loving relatives, dear friends and neighbors.

Age 80, a native of Kenner, LA and a longtime resident of Metairie.

“Bootsie” was not only known for his generosity and his great sense of humor but his love and mentoring of his nieces and nephews whom he considered to be his own.

Relatives, friends, members of the East Jefferson Italian American Society and the Kenner Police Department are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 1:00 pm.
