Sadie Sophie Bailly Barbe

Sadie Sophie Bailly Barbe passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, November 20, 2015 at the age of 98. She is survived by her daughters Annette Flattmann, Therese Bordelon, JoAnn Sander (husband, Arthur), Mary Klein (husband, Claude) and Elizabeth Hooper (husband, William). She is also survived by her grandchildren Rene (wife, Connie), Janet (husband, Jimmy), Wendy (husband, Mike), Lynnette, Christopher (wife, Diane), Troy (wife, Yvette), Angela, Annmarie and Michael (wife, Candace). She also leaves behind numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Eugene Charles Barbe, her parents Michel and Mary Bailly, her daughter Sadie Judith Barbe, her siblings Bertha Perrin, Mildred Smith, Alma Anderson, Edna Theobold, Rita Locke and Harry Bailly; and her son-in-laws Charles Flattmann and Roy Hamann. Sadie was born in Grand Isle, LA. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She touched many lives throughout her lifetime and will be missed by so many. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 beginning at 9:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery No. 1.
