Robert "Bob" Francis Hereford, Jr.

Robert "Bob" Francis Hereford, Jr., age 77, of River Ridge, Louisiana passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, the late Robert F. Hereford, Sr., and Marguerite Hereford Finan along with his brother; Edward Hereford. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Eugenia "Jenny" Hereford, his children; Denyse Keller (Tommy), Sharon Mato (Joseph), and Robert Hereford III (Brandy), grandchildren; Dylan, Peyton (Madison), and Reagan Keller, Tori, Kayli, Remi, and Ryli Mato, Gavin and Grady Hereford, and his sister; Sylvia Foster.

Bob was a graduate of L. E. Robouin High School and Delgado Community College. He was employed by Entergy / LP&L and retired after 43 years. He was actively involved in Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks #30, Cleary Marching Club, the Pelican Relic & Recovery Association and the Entergy Retiree Breakfast Club. Bob and Jenny enjoyed traveling and were fortunate to have experienced visiting 34 different countries during their retirement. He specially loved his family, the City of New Orleans, Sac-a-lait fishing, photography and the outdoors. He will be dearly missed by all of those who knew and loved him.

A Visitation will be held with the family on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm followed by a Prayer Service in the Chapel. A private burial will take place at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to a charity of your choice.
