Ray William Talley passed away on October 16, 2012 at the age of 81. The beloved husband of Maureen Foley Talley was born in Sibley, Louisiana on July 31,1931 to the late Lucille Cost Talley and Ray William Talley. Ray was preceded in death by his twin Roy Murray Talley of Austin,Texas and brothers Henry Harold Talley of Rosamond, California and Jack Forrest Talley of Cincinnati, Ohio, former wife Frances Gutherie Talley and infant son William Grayson Talley. He is survived by his daughter Frances Talley Jones, and her husband Donald, and their children Grayson, Thomas and Mary Frances, all of Dallas, Texas. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Martha Charlotte Green Talley, Annie Hayes Talley, Teresa Talley, Eileen Foley Bradley (Jack), Elizabeth Foley Rape (deceased John) and Megan Foley Marra (Chuck), brothers-in-law Paul Foley (Mary) and Hugh Foley and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his darling puppy,Violet.
Ray graduated from Louisiana Tech in 1952, where he was the vice president oh his Kappa Sigma pledge class, President of the Student Senate, sophomore class favorite, President of his Junior Class,Yell Leader and Who's Who his Senior year. After college,he served in the US Army during the Korean conflict and then returned home to graduate from LSU Law School. He enjoyed a long career practicing Real Estate law in Monroe and New Orleans.
Ray was a true Southern gentleman loved by all who knew him. He loved fishing, golfing,playing Gin, cooking, gardening,telling jokes and performing magic tricks( especially the bunny) for kids of all ages. He was truly loved and will be greatly missed by his grandchildren,family and friends.

A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, October 23,2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Metairie Country Club, 580 Woodvine Avenue, Metairie,LA.
