Ralph S. Mascaro Jr.

Ralph S. Mascaro, Jr. peacefully passed away at home on January 14, 2016 at the age of 85. He was born in New Orleans to Ralph Stephen Mascaro Sr. and Laura Miller Mascaro. He was a resident of Metairie for 60 years. Beloved husband of Gloria Durr Mascaro for 60 years. Father of Cheryl Lohfink (Jerry), Ralph S. Mascaro, III (Joyce), and Cynthia Walther (Rick). Survived by 5 grandchildren: Gerard Lohfink, Melanie Stanley, Rebecca Franzo, Katie Walther, and Chris Walther. Also survived by 5 great-grandchildren: Hannah and Meagan Stanley, Austin and Alex Franzo, and Lily Lohfink. Survived also by his sister, Lourdes Burke. He was an Army Veteran of Korean War, and retired from Entergy after 35 years of service. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial from LEITZ-EAGAN Metairie, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, on Tuesday morning, January 19, 2016 at 10:00. Visitation will begin at 9:00. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, The Society of St. Teresa of Jesus (Teresian Sisters) or your favorite charity.
