Mrs. Peggy McDermott Parenton

Peggy McDermott Parenton passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at the age of 76. Peggy was the wife of the late O’Neil J. Parenton, Sr. and is survived by her nine children O’Neil (Lisa), Patrick (Joell), Peggy P. Reilly (Woods), Thomas Parenton, Timothy (Shelia), Marianne P. Cuntz (Warren), Mickey (Christine), Kelly (Juanita) and Shawn Haddad (Charles); her grandchildren, O’Neil (Jay) III, Jenna and Brian Parenton, Corey, Michael (Caroline), Kevyn Parenton, Annie R. Dillard (Michael), Katie R. Adams (Chris), Joseph (Woody) Reilly, Jr., Maggie R. Wise (Charles), Emily Reilly, Alex, Katherine and Kyle Cuntz, Callie Parenton, Blake, Colin, Liam and Gabriel Parenton, Charles (Tripp), O’Neil Ann and Noelie Haddad; her great grandchildren, Thomas, Harrison and Reilly Dillard and George Adams. Peggy was the daughter of the late John and Ellen (Nellie) McDermott and the sister of Ellen F. McDermott and the late John McDermott and Mary Foley. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Jesuit Church of the Immaculate Conception, 130 Barronne Street in New Orleans on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 beginning at 9:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 1:00 PM. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jesuit High School or St. Mary’s Dominican High School.
