Rebecca and I are so sorry for your loss, but we can't feel too sad knowing that she is now with her beloved Poppy.  She was a true example of perseverance and determination to all of us stitchers.  We are better for having known her and stitch camp will never be the same without Trudy.

I knew your mother from stitching camp. She was a beautiful lady both inside and out. She will be missed very much. My prayers  and condolences to your entire family.

When I started "stitch camp" WAY back in the day; Miss Pat was the first one to volunteer to pick me up from the train station.  After that, we always were fast friends and every year I spent time with her, filling her in on my travels.  I'll miss her and am sorry I could not be there for the service.

     I was one of the lucky ones to know your Mom.  On Wednesday evenings when a bunch of us would be cross-stitching we'd all  cut up and have a good time.  She and I used to tease each other about any and everything.  She was never quite the same after Poppy passed away and she often told us how much she missed him.  You two girls take care of each other and cherish the memories of  your sweet  Mom.

I was one of the lucky ones to know your Mom.  I knew her from cross-stitching.  She and I would tease each other on Wednesday nights about just  anything and everything.  She was a lot of fun to be around.  After Poppy passed away your Mom was never the same. A huge piece of her heart was gone and she often told us that she missed him so much.  I can tell y'all that she was full of spunk when she wanted to get a point across !  She's in heaven now with Poppy. You two take care of one another and cherish the memories y'all had with her.

What a beautiful service Father Berner conducted.  I couldn't help thinking about Pat's spirit when Father talked about spirit and breath.  The Pat that I knew from the needlework shop was a lady who had a quick wit and a happy, joyful way of looking at life.  I remember her skill when she was tole painting and stitching in the shop.  After her stroke when she connected again in my life, she impressed me with her determination and her perseverance.  She was an inspiration to all of the ladies who attended "camp".  She was truly family to us.  We will miss her but know that she was tired of her health issues and missing Poppy so much. Her spirit is now free. - - stitch happy, Pat.  gayle

I am so sorry for your loss.  I didn't know Pat well, but, last year and  the year before
she sat at the table with the ladybugs and the bees and we all enjoyed her company.  Pat will be missed this year in our little group of stitchers.

I first met Pat in 1984 when I purchased the inventory of Crafts Beaucoup and inherited the tole painting class that met there.  Pat was one of the ladies who painted in the class.  I came to know Pat as a woman of great joy, always quick with a quip and a laugh.  Since my shop was geared toward cross stitching I got to know Pat also through her love of stitching.  Then our paths separated for a number of years and reconnected when she came into my shop and asked me to teach her to stitch.  I wasn't aware that in those dis-connected years she had suffered a stroke and had to work to relearn to live her life.  Pat was an inspiration not only to me, but to all of the ladies that were able to know her through "stitching camp".  Everyone loved Pat!  and Pat loved everyone right back.  Pat may not have finished many stitching projects in her hours of being with her stitching family, but she sure did touch many hearts.  She will be remembered with love.  PS!  did you girls know that to the group she was "Trudy"  - - - that's a camp joke and a tribute to your mom!  - Gayle Horton, Accents Inc

I had the pleasure of working with Pat at G&A - Great period of my life with a great lady from the old school - My family was also old friends with Harry or as we called him "Unc Harry" good Guy - My best to all the family with love and some fantastic memories !
