Our sympathies go out to the entire Ryan family.  I remember Mike as a tireless worker at st. clement.  Always willing to help and a ubiquitous presence in the parish.  God bless ya Mike.

Mike and I spent endless hours in front of my house, sitting in his Toyota Celica listening to the radio. I don't remember the things we talked about but I can still see him banging out the drum intro of Into the Air Tonight by Phil Collins. When we were on the Wrestling Team at Rummel, I discovered how special Mike was when he won the State Championship in 1975. He came to stay with me in Baton Rouge almost every weekend while I was at LSU and he went to Dental School in New Orleans. We would go to the LSU games or hang out at the house on Wyoming Street and have a great time together. He was a groomsmen at my wedding and was a huge part of my early life. He was a great friend and I am deeply saddened at his passing, knowing that we will not be able to share our memories of those days again. I guess I will have to wait until I see him in heaven. My deepest sympathy to his entire family ... Love is eternal.
