Mary H. Rose, age 63, passed away at her New Orleans, LA residence on Wednesday, November 9, 2011. Beloved wife of Victor Ray Rose. Mother of Stuart W. Rose. Sister of Elizabeth Hnasko Gross (Richard) of Bismark, ND, Joan Hnasko Storbakken (Greg) of Littleton, CO, Patricia Hnasko of Seattle, WA, Thomas M. Hnasko (Adelma) of Santa Fe, NM, Teri Hnasko Schott (Chuck) and Margie Hnasko Miller (John) both of Maple Grove, MN. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas F. and Mary Gardner Hnasko and her nephew, Nathan R. Schott.
Mary was a native of Minneapolis, MN, reared in Fargo, ND and was a graduate of the College of Saint Benedict, St. Joseph, MN. She was a New Orleans resident for over 40 years. Mary was the longtime co-owner of The Stationer, Ltd. at Uptown Square, an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church, a former board member of the New Orleans City Ballet and past president of the English Turn Garden Club.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1329 Jackson Ave. on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Henry Hudson and the Rev. Jesse Adams officiating. Visitation from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will be private. Kindly omit flowers. Memorials are suggested to your favorite charity.
