It is with great sadness that we learned of your mother's/grandmother's death. She was a great trouper and a bastion of strength. We still think of our time with Sid and Mary when we lived across the street. We enjoyed our occasional conversations with Mary after she moved away from NOLA, and of course always looked forwards to the Monday night musicale when she and Sid held them. Our deepest condolences in your time of loss.

Dear Keren and Judy,
     My memories of your mother are so precious. At Sydney's Monday night musicales with Zolly Levine, Label Katz, Bill, Lou Brown and happily myself and others, she was always a gracious, beautiful hostess. Especially at intermission when we took a break, she would come in to serve hot tea and home baked goodies. She was hesitant to intrude but I always wanted her to linger.

That corner of Fontainebleau and Nashville will ever be yours in the hearts of so many!

Sincere condolences and sympathy.  My thoughts are with you as you celebrate the 105 years of your mother Mary's life.  Thinking of you in your time of loss.

I am very sad to learn of your mother's passing.  I practically met her at birth because my parents, Esther and George Segel, were good friends of her and your loving father, Sid.  I also knew your Uncle Victor and in fact have a wonderful picture of him with my father enjoying a laugh and a sandwich at his shop.  I was able to track your mother down through Birdie Firmin who gave me her phone no. and we had a few conversations over the past two years, plus I sent her a note.  When I was quite young your father attempted to teach me and a group of other young campers to swim and we would jump all over him trying to "drown" him inthe pool but thank goodness we didn't succeed.  He took it all in his usual good humored way.       Your  mother was so sweet, kind, talented, loving and special.  I am so glad to have spoken to her on the phone and so happy she remembered me and my parents.  Please accept my deepest and sincerest condolences.  I hope one day to meet you all. Dear Karen and Judy, I hope you remember me. I lived around the corner from your family on Rocheblave St. I remember your mother as a sweet and loving lady.
