Mary Geraldine Calongne Feugas, age 91, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 17, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Leon John Feugas, Jr. Beloved mother of Leon John Feugas, III and Suzette Feugas Weydert (Brian). Grandmother of Christopher Lee Feugas (Ewelyn), Michael Weydert (Amber), Megan Weydert Finstein (Joe) and John Christian Weydert. Great grandmother of Ava Grace, Emma Rose, Elizabeth Miriam, Michael Brian and Anna Katherine. Beloved daughter of the late George Cire Calongne, Sr. and Gertrude Broussard Calongne. Sister of Gwendolyn Weidig (the late Walter), Wanda Henry (the late R.J.), Gaynell Leonard (Sidney), Georgette Sloan (Terry) and the late George Cire Calongne, Jr. (Gladys), Sister Mary Bonaventure O.P and Gayle Calongne (the late Barbara). Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Feugas was a retired registered nurse, a graduate of St. Mary’s Dominican High School, Hotel Dieu Nursing School and a parishioner of St. Louis King of France Church. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial gathering at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 4640 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119 on Monday morning, July 23, 2018 beginning at 8:30 AM with a Memorial Mass to follow at 9:30 AM. Interment will be in Hope Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Anthony of Padua Church in Mrs. Feugas’ name.
