I’m Mark’s Aunt from California. We still can’t believe that Mark is no longer with us. His Mother is devastated. No mother should ever have to bury their child. It is not the natural way of life. Mark was a kind loving person by heart. He was so funny every time he would come to visit. We had the pleasure  of having him stay with us when he would come to California. I’ll never forget his beautiful smile every time we saw him. Especially when he would always say “…it’s all good!” His Uncle Ruben loved him like a son and they always enjoyed teasing each other! Mark would call him an old man and Uncle Ruben always said “let’s go on the basketball court and see who’s old!” We will truly miss his phone calls, his huge laugh, and just hearing his voice. Thank you Stephanie for loving him as you did, and to his friends in many parts of Louisiana who loved and cared for him like family. Gone but never forgotten Mark. We love you, Uncle Ruben & Aunt Maria 🕊❤️🕯

Mark was a pretty comical dude the brief times I spent with him, were always comical but memorable. You are missed sir but never forgotten" BREH" cya when I get there 🙏❤



Mark and I go all the way back to the lacombe , Louisiana days . Somewhere in the mid to late 80's .  He was one of the first people I knew in those days. I can't believe God called him home so soon. His smile would light up the room that he was in every time he stepped in it. No Matt what was about to happen Mark was always there to help . He had a heart of gold . I just wish I'd been able to tell him good bye.  To his family , I'm so sorry for your loss . But he's standing in the light of his savor now . Asking Jesus to look over us all.    R.I.P. my brotha . I'll see you on the other side one day. 😔

I had the pleasure of being with mark for 18 years i loved him very much.I will never forget his infectious laugh and that beautiful smile. He was my true love and my bestfreind i miss him terriablely and i wish he would just come home.thank u to everyone for their condolances. May u rest in peace my love


Mark is gone too soon. I remember buying pizza from him at Dante’s in the French Quarter, and lo and behold one day I come to work and there he is, cooking at my restaurant. I can thank Mark for my nickname, and for a decade and a half of dedicated, loyal, reliable work. His honesty, kindness, and wonderful sense of humor will be missed. Rest in peace, Mark. 

As I read the previous comments I can’t help but smile and, “Yup. That sounds like my cousin.” Always fun loving and a huge joker. I can still hear him say, “Aw, ya killin’ it,” loud and boisterous. Mark and I had our friendly football rivalries and would go back and forth about the Saints (his team) and the Niners (my team). I’ll miss talking more football with you this season cousin but will always have that extra drink for you on game day. Until we meet again cousin. 

Mark and I worked together for a few years and in that time he never once lost his composure unless he was laughing or joking. He was a good man and we are worse off without him. I hope the pain of his loss fades quickly and is replaced by fond recollection of good memories

I had the pleasure of working with Mark. He was kind, silly and great at his job. He was always willing to help and he always showed up to support his friends.  He was a loyal and dependable guy. 
He holds a special place in my heart because he was a friend to my husband and I when we first met. I’m glad he got to see us get married and start a family. We will miss you Mark. We wish your family  peace. 

Mark and worked together for many years. I still tell my current cooks how reliable he was. This guy came to work a day after surgery and I had to force him to leave. It wasn’t because he loved working it was because he loves his co workers and never wanted to let them down. He never stayed in a bad mood and he always knew how to pull others out of one. Rest easy brother. 

Mark was one of the first people I met when I moved to New Orleans in '08. He was a larger than life character, always quick with a joke when things were getting tense in the kitchen. I can confidently say I will never meet another person like him. My condolences to his family.

I worked alongside Mark for 13 years, enjoyed countless jokes and heartfelt conversations.  Went to numerous basketball games and rock concerts with each other.  I'll never not think of you when i hear Mötey Crüe or The Cult. We also enjoyed many "after work" drinks. Cheers to you my friend.  It was a pleasure to know you.
