

Marjory Jean Scott Hermann, beloved wife, rejoined the love of her life, Paul, Sr., on Monday, November 26, 2018, at the age of 88. She is preceded in death by her parents Ruth and Rea Scott, and brother, Tommy Scott, of McComb, Mississippi. She is survived by her children Debbie (Gary Sibley), Paul Hermann, Jr. (Joan Gondron), and Anna Hermann (Michael Chance), three grandchildren, three step grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, four step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was active all her life. In Junior High, she was a Sunbeam, and later she was in the Girl Scouts and the Rainbow Girls. She was a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond where she met her future husband. She and Paul were proud Golden Graduates. In her younger days, she was a teacher in Jefferson Parish Schools, both in an elementary school at Hazel Park Elementary and at a middle school at Bunche Village Middle School. She and Paul were active at St. Paulʼs United Methodist Church in Harahan, and in the Methodist Church in District Conferences, Youth groups, and other church events. She had a sweet disposition with a sense of humor and was loved by all who met her. Her greatest passion and gift was to be surrounded by the family and friends she loved. Her family would like to extend their thanks to the staff and friends she made while in her 14-year stay at Ville Ste. Marie in Jefferson, Louisiana. Thanks also to Summerfield Assisted Living in Hammond, Louisiana, for her care while there. A special thanks to the nurses and staff at Belle Maison Nursing Home and North Oaks Hospice in Hammond, Louisiana, for the wonderful care and comfort they gave her during her final days and moments.
