Margie was born in Reserve, LA, on January 31, 1931, to George and Stella Jacob. She attended St. Peter Elementary School and Leon Godchaux High School. She left Reserve to pursue an adventure in New Orleans and met her future husband, Joseph Frady. They were married April 12, 1960. She and Joseph welcomed four beautiful children which were Margie’s pride and joy. She spent her life caring for her family and family business, Frady’s One Stop Food Store in the Bywater. Although in later years, she was unable to help at the store, she remained a prominent fixture on the front porch of the family home across the street and enjoyed visiting with family, neighbors, and customers.
Margie loved road trips, especially to the Gulf Coast casinos. She was always ready for an adventure.
Her smile could light up a room and her laughter was infectious.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Private funeral services were held for the immediate family.
