Marion J. Labure

Marion J. Labure, age 86, took the hand of the Lord on Saturday, May 26, 2012. Mr. Labure was a native of Plaucheville, LA and a resident of Laplace, LA. Beloved husband of Marie Mitchell Labure for 64 years. Father of Wayne Labure (Betty), Bruce Labure (Joan), Chris Labure (Jan) and Randy Labure (Linda). Son of the late Dominic and Elmonia Ducote Labure. Brother of Flora Smith and the late Eldria Gaspard, Harry Labure and Andrew Labure. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 1 step grandson, 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Labure was a retired U.S. Post Office employee, was a WWII Navy veteran serving in the South Pacific and was a member of VFW Post 3337 and the American Legion Post in Laplace, LA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Tuesday morning, May 29, 2012 beginning at 9:30 am with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:30 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
