Era conocida por su espíritu honorable y amoroso. Ella fue muy positiva. Ella era muy generosa. Ella ayudó a mucha gente. Una mujer de fe, amaba a Dios con todo su corazón. Trabajó toda su vida. Era lo suficientemente amorosa como para decirle a la gente la verdad, incluso cuando era difícil. Será recordada por su maravilloso y sarcástico sentido del humor. Siempre había comida en su casa para cualquiera que pasara por allí, y ella también era una gran cocinera.

Maria Leonor Garcia, age 76, of Metairie, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023.

Mother of Maria, Hilda, and Alfredo; grandmother of Kathy, Jeltsin, Andrea, Samantha, Kenny, Paola, Stephanie, Andrea, Ariana, Nishma, Yeudi, Ninssi, and Josue; great grandmother of Jessica and Samuel, Leonor, Anderson, Isaiah, and Nathanael; daughter of the late Maria and Alberto; sister of Aurora, Doris, Alba, Anabela, Jose, Daniel, Francisco, and Edgardo.

She was known for her honorable and loving spirit. She was very positive. She was very giving. She helped a lot of people. A woman of faith, She loved God with all her heart. She worked all of her life. She was loving enough to tell people the truth, even when it was hard. She will be remembered for her wonderful, sarcastic sense of humor. There was always food at her house for anyone who stopped by, and she was great cook too.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd, Metairie on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 3:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM.
