Louis John Marks Jr.

Louis "Jay" Marks, Jr. passed away peacefully on January 13, 2021 at the age of 91. He was a lifelong resident of Metairie, LA. Mr. Marks worked for Jack's Cookies as a route salesman and retired after 25 years of service. He also worked 20 years for Helm Paint.

Jay is preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Marilyn. He is survived by his daughter, Debbie (husband Scott), son, Kerry (wife Kris), son, Scott (wife Elizabeth) and daughter, Kim (husband Eddie). "PawPaw" was blessed with 6 grandchildren - Brandi, Brandon, Leigh, Casey, Charles and Savana. He also leaves behind 5 great-grandchildren.

Dad, we fondly remember you always "speaking your mind". You were a man of few words and always truthful. Throughout your life, we saw your commitment to and belief in your family. Your quiet love and constant support were evident in all you did for us and we are forever grateful. We love you and we will miss you!

A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 18, 2021 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Metairie, LA. Visitation will be held from 9AM-11AM with a Mass to begin at 11AM. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
