Lorris J. Bouzigard Jr. ("LJ")

Lorris J.Bouzigard, Jr. ("LJ"), age 64, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. He was the son of the late Helen Dardar Gindrat and the late Danny Gindrat. He was brother of Helen Ann Bouzigard, Clifton Bouzigard, Timothy Bouzigard (late Lisa), and the late Brigette Griffin (late James). He was also half-brother to Lorris James Bouzigard, Tonya B. Dennis, Beau Bouzigard, and the late George Bouzigard. He was step brother to Cathy Lewis and the late Wanda Godwin. He was uncle to Todd Garvin, Billie-Jo Griffin, CheraKee Epperly (Thomas), Jamie Griffin (Perry), Timothy Bouzigard, Jr., and numerous great-nieces and nephews. He is survived by his best friend and partner of 37 years, Edward Patterson, and their adopted son Ace Toups. LJ loved his dogs Cody and Skyler and the late Sophie, Kismet, Shiloh, Tabby, and Flea.

LJ spent most of his professional and personal life attending to the needs of disabled people and truly enjoyed his work. He was an angel to many. He was also very proud of his Native American Heritage as a member of the United Houma Nation.

A private celebration of LJ’s life is planned.
