Lois Kampen Bono

Lois Kampen Bono, age 103, of Harahan, Louisiana passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 8, 2023, with her loving family by her side. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband August "Gus" Bono. Loving mother of Lynn Shackelford (the late Ricky), and Gary Bono (Lucretia). Proud grandmother of Alicia Shackelford (Chad), Ashley Leber (Jeff), Dane Bono (Casey), Garrett Bono, and Noah Shackelford (deceased). Great gram to Brennan, Landon, and Odin Leber, and Oliver Bono. Daughter of the late Margaret Smith Kampen and Joseph James Kampen. Sister of the late Joan K. Ganucheau, William G. Kampen, Sr., Patricia K. Constant, Lean K. Rosevalley, Barbara K. Park, Margaret Kampen, Barbara Claire Kampen (infant), and Joseph C. Kampen. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A Visitation for Lois was held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana on Friday, July 14, 2023, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm with a Mass of Christian Burial following. Interment took place at Lake Lawn Park Cemetery, 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, Louisiana.
