MADERE Lester Joseph Madere, Sr., age 91, passed away on Thursday August 22, 2013. Beloved husband of Marynell Gitz Madere. Loving father of Suzanne, Les and Ann. Proud grandfather of Joey, Danielle, Matthew, Ralphie, Jeffrey, Caitlin, Joseph, Michael and Christopher. Brother of Lloyd "Took", Warren "Chink" Madere and the late Richard and John Madere. Les was a proud United States Army Veteran who served honorably during World War II. "Gramps", as he was lovingly called was a devoted family man. A native of Luling, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA he was a parishioner of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church for over 50 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 13396 River Rd. Destrehan, LA on Tuesday August 27, 2013 at 11:30 am. Visitation from 9:00 am until time of service. Interment in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.
