LeRoy P. Gros

LeRoy P. Gros, age 74, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 29, 2015. Mr. Gros was a native of Napoleonville, LA, a former resident of Metairie, LA and a resident of Mandeville, LA for the past 20 years. Beloved husband of Sonja Gros for 52 years. Father of Doreen Gros (Allen Bishop), Dale Gros (Lisette) and Dennell Gros. Grandfather of Jessica Brady (Doren Bryant), Stephanie Carmona (Rafael), Calah Lentz, Cheyanne Lentz, Gabriela Loup, Matthew Gros, Samuel Gros and the late Kaleigh Sotelo. Great grandfather of Wyatt Theil, Noah Carmona, Nathan Carmona, Seth Bryant and Kaleigh Bryant. Brother of Mervin Gros (Glenna), Bessie Gros, Marguerite Morrison (Barry), Barbara Landry (Gilbert) and the late Joyce Crescioni, Dorothy Rivere (surviving husband, Edward), Hazel Rivere, Laura Gros and Elmo Gros, Jr. Son of the late Elmo Gros, Sr. and Mabel Delaune Gros. Brother-in-law of Jessie Bourgeois, Wayne Bourgeois (Melanda), Larry Bourgeois (Melanie), Gary Bourgeois (Tammy), Kevin Bourgeois (Mary), Blair Bourgeois and Gail Peet (David). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Gros was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 60 and was a former member of the Ozone Squares Dance Club. He attended Our Lady of the Lake Church, Mary Queen of Peace Church and the Vineyard. He was a diehard Saints fan and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Mr. Gros was a strong willed man who loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.
