Leona Fortado Gaudin

Leona Fortado Gaudin, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2013. Beloved wife of the late George F. Gaudin, Jr. and former wife of the late Guy E. Palermo, Sr. Daughter of the late Thelma Buras Fortado and Oscar S. Fortado. Mother of the late Guy E. Palermo, Jr. Sister of Judy F. Main and the late Carol F. Montello. Step mom of Walter, Donald and David Gaudin. Also survived by nieces, Trudy Main, Michelle Lucurto and Charmaine Moulden; nephew, Ryan Main; two beloved godsons, JC Miller and Brad Main and her companion of 10 years, Hayes Lepine. A native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Metairie for the past 45 years. Mrs. Gaudin was a parishioner of St. Ann Church, was a member of the East Jefferson Wellness Center and she enjoyed dancing at the Jefferson Orleans. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Ann Church, 3601 Transcontinental Dr., in Metairie, LA on Monday afternoon, July 22, 2013 beginning at 1:00 PM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 2:00 PM.
