Larry Joseph Gangi Sr.

Larry Gangi, Sr. A longtime resident of Metairie, Louisiana passed away Wednesday June 29, 2022, at Ochsner Hospital. Larry was born on February 10, 1955 in New Orleans LA to Vincent Gangi, Jr. and Evelyn Wilbur Gangi Cancella and was previously married to Madeline Christiana Gangi with sons Larry Joseph Gangi, Jr and Chad Ryan Gangi (Indira) and 1st grandchild Fiona Gangi. Previously married to Kristine Brown with son Logan Joseph Gangi. Brother of Michael Gangi (Lisa), Cecilia Gangi Ulfers (Keith) and the late Vincent Gangi, III. Also survived by many aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Larry will be missed by all.

He was in construction and seafood most of his life. Larry was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved to go fishing and hunting with his buddies and enjoyed telling the “stories “afterward. He had a big heart and was great at making people laugh. He always had something funny to say to lighten the mood.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Vincent Gangi, Jr. and his brother Vincent Gangi III.

Visitation will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd, near Clearview Pkwy., Metairie, LA 70006 on Friday morning, July 8, 2022 beginning at 9:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
