LaJeune "June" Tortorich, age 88, of Metairie, Louisiana passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. LaJeune was born in Frederick, Oklahoma to the late Ethel Hostetler and Dock Woolsey, and is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Tortorich; and a brother David Woolsey. June is survived by her faithful loving companion Dennis Townsend; and her brother Tommy Woolsey, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
June worked for Dixie Brewing Company, she loved to cook, read books, and spend time in her garden. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life service for June will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie, Louisiana 70006. She will be inurned at Garden of Memories Cemetery 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, Louisiana, 70001 at 1:15 pm.
