Kenneth L. Rogers, Jr. transitioned into eternal rest on August 30, 2018 at the age of 65. He has now joined his late father Kenneth L. Rogers, Sr. and his late sister, Paige Rogers Mann in their heavenly home. He is also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Warren and Rose Rogers, Sr. and his maternal grandparents, Ernesto and Josephina Dominguez. He is survived by his mother, Stella Rogers, who was devoted to him and stood by him unconditionally, his sister Deborah Thibodeaux and husband Steven, his nephew, Christian Thibodeaux and wife Kristin, his great nephew and niece, Zachary and Kaitlin Thibodeaux and his brother-in-law, Thomas Mann. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will sadly miss him.
Kenneth was born in New Orleans, lived as a child in the Irish Channel and resided in Kenner for 60 years. He graduated from East Jefferson High School and attended the University of New Orleans. He had a true love for the arts in life. He enjoyed painting, playing music and even had a band. Although Kenneth had many obstacles in life that he had to overcome he always kept a positive attitude and would see the best in every situation. In his later years in life he took great pride in being a Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Through the years Kenneth worked at Pan American Life, NAMI, Friendship House, and as a security guard.
Through much adversity Kenneth never gave up, he was resilient. He had a loving and generous heart that would help anybody in need. He was truly loved by his devoted family, but most importantly he loved his family and friends unconditionally. May Kenneth finally Rest in Peace.
