Mom was:
1. Unconditional love
a. Our Mother loved and adored us throughout her life.  She was always warm, caring and nurturing.  As kids, no matter what we did, or how we behaved, we always knew that there was an uncompromising love for us, and that even in the discipline that was inevitably meted out; she truly loved and lived for us.  And, we always loved her back. 
2. Inspirational and Optimistic
a. Mother instilled in us the optimistic belief that the future is always bright.  She inspired us to achieve whatever we wished to achieve, that all was possible, and that success only depended on how much we were willing to persevere and endeavor. 
3. Christian
a. Mom was a true Christian, with the emphasis on Christ.  She prayed daily and had an ongoing dialogue with the Lord our God.  In her simple wisdom, she saw through all the interpretation of religion, and instead believed in pure Christianity, the inherent goodness of “mankind” and the life everafter.  As a family, at various times we attended the Protestant Church, the Methodist Church, the Evangelical Church, the Catholic Church and others, but we were unfailing in attending church every Sunday, and I still do so to this day.  She believed that to be a Christian, one must live a Christian life every day, and in everything we say and do.
4. Encouraging and supportive
a. Mom always had anecdotal tales of experiences in her life that served to encourage us.  In her wisdom, instead of speaking directly about our fears and lack of confidence, she would share a story of something that had occurred in her life that would provide the internal conviction that we too could overcome, and succeed in our own battles. When the chips were down she always knew when it was the right time to call and provide encouraging support that re-energized and motivated us to move forward. 
5. Compassionate, Considerate, Accepting and Unselfish
a. Mom was totally accepting of all people, from all walks of life.  She would do anything to help someone in need, whether friend, neighbor, relative or total stranger.  She always believed “but for the love of God, there go I”, that things could always be worse and we must always do more to help those worse off than we.  And, many people whom she helped reciprocated, giving to her in her times of need. 
6. Dreamer
a. Mom was a dreamer.  Her belief was that it is OK to dream, and that anything worth accomplishing started with a dream.  She also believed that dreaming only became reality if followed by the dedication and hard work required to make it reality. 
7. Scottish heritage
a. Mom's Scottish heritage was always evident throughout her life and she was always fiercely independent, tenacious and a tough little lady.  Her ability to drill through the bureaucracy of government or big business was legend.  When something needed to get done or be “righted” she found a way to make it happen.
b. Even onto death, she held on for a whole week longer than the doctors predicted, insisting on making it to the month of her birthdate and finally succumbing on June 1.  
Mom, you will be forever loved and adored by your children, and your relatives and your many friends.  May the Good Lord bless you and keep you always in his arms.

AUNT JUNE YOU WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBER FOR YOUR LOVING WAYS YOU WERE SUCH FUN TO BE WITH,WE LOVE YOU BUT GOD LOVES YOU MORE,RIP.

Aunt June was a great person and a best friend to my mother! I grew up calling her my Aunt because to me she was my family!! I will really miss her! I love you Aunt June you will be dearly missed!!

My heart goes out to you at this time and in the days ahead.

I could not have asked for a more wonderful Aunt.  Aunt June, you were my favorite!  I will have wonderful, loving memories of you.  Remember all the fun you, Lyle and Charley and I had going to all the Elk's Lodge and Spanish dances?  Next to my Mother, I loved you most.  I envy you in that you will now get to see, Dad, Damon, Lyle, Uncle Harris, Uncle Fred and Aunt Iris.  Mama won't be far behind you.  What a reunion!  Love, Jackie

MRS. JUNE,  YOU ARE DEEPLY MISSED.  I REMEMBER ALL THE TIMES I VISITED IN LA LIMA, THE TRIPS OUR FAMILIES MADE EXPLORING WATERFALLS, RIVERS, ALL THE BACK ROADS MR. D AND MY DADDY LED US THROUGH, AND ALL THE GOOD PCNIC FOODS MAMA AND MRS. JUNE WOULD SERVE.  IT WOULD TAKE A BOOK TO TRULY EXPRESS MY FEELINGS SO TIL WE MEET AGAIN, MRS. JUNE, YOU WILL REMAIN A BEAUTIFUL LADY IN MY HEART.  JOAN ROONEY
