Julia Landry Morvant Moll

Julia Landry Morvant Moll passed away July 16, 2020 at the age of 95 years old. She was born on February 2, 1925 in Thibodaux, LA to Orestile Landry and Mary Eve Rodrique Landry. She moved to New Orleans where she met and married Dominick Morvant. After Dominick’s death years later, she married Joseph Abner Moll who has also proceeded her in death.

Julia is the mother of Carol Morvant Decourt (Terry), Alvin Morvant (Susan), and Dominick Morvant Jr. (Toni). She was also preceded in death by her first child, Earlene Morvant who died within days of her birth.

She also leaves behind seven grandchildren who adored her; Bernard Morvant (Melissa), Melanie Lacombe, Paula Hebert, Angela Clemens, Nicholas Morvant, Terry Decourt Jr. (Kimberly), and Chad Decourt (Alyson).

She was very much loved by her great grandchildren. Tyler Lacombe, Meagan Morvant, Natalie Morvant, Julia Hebert, Victoria Hebert, Charles Clemens, Brooklyn Decourt, Maci Decourt, Hailee Decourt, Kendall Decourt, Mason Decourt, and her two step great grandchildren, Brianna Trentacosta and Carson Campeaux.

She was sister to Orestile “OJ” Landry and the late Volzie Landry, Adley Landry, Eugene Landry, and Mary Eve Pitre.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Ormond Nursing Home for her care during her stay there.

Visitation will be between 12 PM and 1 PM on Thursday July 23, 2020 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home located at 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd in Metairie. Mass will begin at 1 PM, followed my interment at Restlawn Park Cemetery in Avondale. Mask are required.
