Mr. Joseph John Branigan Jr.

Joseph John Branigan, Jr. Sunrise October 19, 1940 - Sunset June 4, 2011. He was a native and longtime resident of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Carriere, MS for the past several years. Former loving husband of Janet Branigan (companion, Ronald Holley). Father of Michael Joseph Branigan (wife, Cammie), Donald Edward Branigan and Gerald Anthony Branigan. Grandfather of Jessica Lynn Branigan. Step grandfather of Damien. Son of the late Joseph John Branigan, Sr. and Thais Faust Branigan. Also survived by his cousins, Paula and Linda and by many other cousins, nieces and nephews. Mr. Branigan was a retired New Orleans Fireman and a member of the Flying Squad on Girod Street. He served in the U.S. Air Force. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Sunday evening, June 12, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Monday morning, June 13, 2011 beginning at 9:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
