John Donahoe

John “Jack” J. Donahoe passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at the age of 81 years at East Jefferson General Hospital. Beloved husband of Dolores Ullrich Donahoe for 46 years. A native of New Orleans and a resident of Metairie for 39 years. Son of the late Frank J. Donahoe and Marguerite S. Donahoe. Brother of the late James F. Donahoe. Nephew of the late Helen C. Donahoe. Uncle of Terrence M. and Kevin P. Donahoe and Erin D. Druhan. Brother-in-law of Dorothy C. Donahoe. Cousin of John “Jack” Hooper, Cheryl Eaton and Rose Lynn Blizzard. Survived by a host of great nephews and nieces. Jack retied from ILA 3000 after working on the docks of New Orleans for 30 years. He proudly served in the Louisiana National Guard for 8 years. Jack was a member of St. Clement of Rome Young Elders, American Legion Post 350, The Mascots Club, and the ILA 3000 Retiree Association and H2U Club.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 11:30 am.
