John T. Benedict Jr.

John T. Benedict, Jr., passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2012 surrounded by his family and dear friends. He was 56. A New Orleans native and a resident of Metairie, Louisiana. John was the son of the late John T. Benedict and June B. Benedict. He is survived by his loving wife, Robin M. Benedict, his daughter, Kelly M. Benedict and his son John T. “J.T.” Benedict. He is also survived by his sisters, Susan B. Watts (Clifford) and Judith B. Baynes (David); his sister-in-law, Deborah C. Theriot (John) and daughters; his brother-in-law, Robert "Johnny" J. Mayeaux and sons; his nephews: Phillip E. Watts (Carla), Timothy E. Watts (Katrena), Clifford "Chip" E. Watts II, Evan D. Baynes; his nieces: Christine W. Michelli, Kaitlin M. Baynes; his grandniece, Victoria N. Michelli and his grandnephew, Gavin S. Michelli as well as numerous family and friends. John graduated from Archbishop Rummel High School and received his bachelor of Business Administration from Loyola University. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his close friends and family throughout the years. John loved sports, especially our New Orleans Saints. He was one of the WHO DATS fortunate to attend Super Bowl XLIV on February 7, 2010 in Miami. He worked for Exxon Port Allen Lubricants Plant before retiring in 2011 from Exxon Mobil Chalmette Refining LLC after 20 years of service with the company. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him and knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Saturday, March 31, 2012 from 10:00 AM until time of Mass at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
