Venus who preceded her in death. Loving mother of Joe Wayne Carr and
wife Stephanie Carr. Beloved grandmother “Maga” to Ava and Isabella.
Also survived by her sister Linda Venus Blanchard Mayer, her brother
Charles Venus, her lifelong best friend Angie LeBlanc, and a host of
cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Joan worked as an accountant
and will be sorely missed by her loving family, friends and clients.
Visitation will be at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home,4747 Veterans Blvd.,near Clearview Pkwy in Metairie, LA on Thursday June 30, 2011 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm and on Friday July 1, 2011 beginning at 10:00 am with a Funeral Mass to follow at 1:00 pm.
