George Joseph Timphony

George J. Timphony, (Papa), passed away on Friday, November 20, at age 78. He was the beloved husband of Diana Collura for 58 years. His larger than life personality will be missed by his loving children Gary (Candace), Troy (Cindy), Paul (Cheryl), Gina Shall (Jeff) and the late Ricky Timphony. He leaves a hole in the hearts of his grandkids of which he was so proud Taylor, Ty, Lauren, Luke, Ava, Ryan, Jenna, Rachel, Michael, Stephen, Raymond and Rikki. Sunday family dinners, watching the Saints, hunting, fishing and hanging out at his corner table at Hobnobber is what he loved to do. He was the son of the late Andonia and Anthony Timphony. Brother of Angellina Camiola and the late Frank and Vincent Timphony. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends and his dog Molly Girl. Relatives, friends and employees of Hobnobber are invited to attend the visitation on Monday November 23, 2015 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana. A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home's Chapel. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Cemetery.
