Gary is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 26 years, Tanya B. Lee and his children, Gary Lee, Jr. (Alicia), Beverly Stowe (Willie), Matthew Lee (Lauren), Amanda Lee, Christopher Lee-Caron, Mark Lee, Gabrielle Schaubhut (Aaron), and Jordan Lee. He is the grandfather of London Mistich, Madison Mistich, Gabriel Triguero, Ireland Boudreaux, Jacob Lee, Makayla Lee, Isabella Schouest, Jamie Lee, Dawson Lee, Cody Lee, Zackary Lee, Tyler Lee, and Parker Schaubhut and great-grandfather of Simone Russo. He is also survived by his three sisters, Brenda Harvey (Bill), Joycelyn Folse, and Deborah Lee, one brother, Terrin Boudreaux (Liz), as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Eula Mae Boudreaux, stepfather, Euclid Boudreaux, father, David Lee and stepmother, Mildred Lee.
At the age of 16, Gary joined the United States Merchant Marines where he traveled the world. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from the New Orleans Police Department after 34 years of service and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
Our hearts are heavy. He will be fondly remembered by his family and friends as a selfless, genuine, loyal, and loving man. We will miss his jokes, his laughter and his wise cracks most of all. We know that we have a guardian angel looking over us. Until we meet again “TOODALOO”.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Metairie, LA. Visitation will be held from 8:30AM - 10:30AM with a memorial Mass to begin at 10:30AM. Inurnment will follow at 12:30PM at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery 34888 Grantham College Dr. Slidell, LA
