Fred “Fritz” Braniff, 71, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2022 surrounded by special friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick J. Braniff and Marion C. Braniff. He is survived by his daughter, Ashley McMahan (Joseph Carroll McMahan III). Grandchildren, Alexandra, Preston and Madeline McMahan. Great Grandchildren, Kenneth, Kobe and Lainey.
Fred was a graduate of Archbishop Rummel High School in Metairie. He then went on to graduate from University of New Orleans with a degree in education. After graduation he dedicated himself to over thirty years of teaching special education in the Jefferson Parish School System. During his teaching career, he touched many special student’s lives.
Fred was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed days on the tennis court and long bike rides with friends. Fred supported all local sports. A perfect weekend would include spending time at the hunting camp- hunting with friends and watching football.
