Eugene Paul Chase

Captain Gene Chase sailed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at the age of 63. Loving father of Tammy Chase-Cascio (Michael), Eugene Anthony Chase and Stephanie Chase Keller (Harry). Grandfather of Nicholas and Bailey Keller. Brother of Barbara Billiot, Leonard Chase and Richard Chase. Son of the late Leonard and Josephine Chase. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A native of New Orleans, LA and a lifelong resident of Metairie, LA. Gene was a retired firefighter with the Jefferson Parish Fire Department. He had a passion for sailing and was a member of the Corinthians Sailing Association for over 20 years.

As Gene always said, “Most of all, he tried.”

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Garden of Memories Funeral Home 4900 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am until funeral time. Interment will be private.
