Esther Edler Ryan, age 95 years at Canon Hospice on Wednesday, February 17, 2010. Wife of the late Joseph B. Ryan, Sr. Mother of Eve Ryan Sterling and the late Joseph B. Ryan Jr. and Melvin Ryan. Daughter of the late Isabelle Lensmyer Edler and Charles William Edler. Sister of the late Helen Estelle Edler, Donice Edler, Charles W. Edler, Jr., Dorothy E. Bicksler and Denise E. Perry.

Also survived by one grandson, Ryan David Sterling (Lacey) and 3 great grandchildren, Natalie, Autumn and Michael Sterling.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services from the Metairie chapel of THARP-SONTHEIMER-THARP, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd. at 43rd Street on Monday, February 22, 2010 at 10:00 AM. Visitation prior to the service on Monday from 8:30 AM until service time.
