Erich Wenzel, Jr.

Erich Wenzel, Jr. passed away on July 20, 2018. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 18, 1928 and was a longtime resident of Metairie, Louisiana. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He worked for Burroughs Corporation for 28 years as a computer technician. He was also a service manager for First Financial Corporation. He was a longtime member of St. Matthew’s Methodist church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Erich Wenzel, Sr., and Stella Rouquette and son Mark Wenzel. He is survived by his loving wife 64 years Gloria Allison Wenzel, his children, Elizabeth Montz (Arthur), Marshall Wenzel (Gloria), and Dolores Wenzel, his grandchildren, Chad Montz, Matthew Montz (Cori), Troy Montz, Mitchell Pittelli and Grace Durning, great-grandchildren, Christian Breaux, Paige Montz, Chase and Addison Montz, his sister Kathleen Seals along with numerous beloved nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, 5190 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, Louisiana. Messages of condolences may be left for the family at www.leitzeaganfuneralhome.com.
