Eldon Smith November 25, 1919 - November 22, 2013 Eldon Smith of Waco passed away Friday, November 22, 2013. A graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 27, at Garden of Memories Cemetery at Metairie, Louisiana, with arrangements made thru Leitz-Eagen Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Eldon was born November 25, 1919, in Lincoln County, Mississippi to Elizah and Estella Smith. He was a veteran of WWII, a food broker sales representative and lived in New Orleans for 63 years. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Martha Virginia Smith; two sons, James W. Smith and Gary M. Smith and wife, Lisa; one daughter, Gloria Ginger Pike and husband, Danny; three granddaughters; and two sisters.
