Diane Patricia Cash

Diane Dunklin Cash, R.N., entered into eternal rest of Friday, August 23, 2013 at the age of 54 after a courageous battle with cancer. Mrs. Cash was a lifelong resident of Metairie, La. After graduating from Chapelle High School in 1977, she attended the University of New Orleans and Charity Hospital School of Nursing, where she obtained her R.N. degree in 1985. Mrs. Cash had worked at Charity Hospital in New Orleans and Browne-McHardy Clinic in Metairie. She is survived by her beloved husband of 27 years, Michael M. Cash, DDS, and their three children; Brianne, Michael Jr. and Patricia. Preceded in death by her parents, Storrs P. Dunklin Sr. and Mary Patricia Dunklin. Also survived by her siblings, Elizabeth Dunklin Bickford, Storrs P. Dunklin Jr., and David M. Dunklin. Her brothers-in-law include Anthony J. Cash III, Brian G. Lukas, and Ed Bickford. Sisters-in-law include Mary Cash Lukas, Patricia C. Cash, Margaret Dunklin, and Isabella Dunklin. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and her labrador Lilo. Mrs. Cash was a devoted wife and mother, and an inspiration to all who knew her. She loved spending time with her family and cherished the wonderful vacations they shared together.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 1:00 pm with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Interment in Garden of Memories Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Deacon Ed’s Food Bank at St. Francis Xavier Catholic School, 215 Betz Place, Metairie, La. 70005
