Dennis Alvin Britt

He was born in Brookhaven, MS, but was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Dennis was the beloved husband of the late Dolores Dawson Britt for 57 years. A wonderful mother of Donna Britt Velasques, Darren Britt (Connie) and Dina Britt Michel (Robert).

He was a proud grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Dykes Britt and two sisters, Aileen Britt Vince (Jay) and Juanita Britt Delaughter (Buddy).

He is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dennis was retired military having served in the U.S. Army for 21 years. He was also co-owner and founder of Brittany Stables in New Orleans East for over 40 years.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
