Denise Barrosse Johnson

After a long battle with cancer, Denise Barrosse Johnson received her wings and went to walk with the angels. Denise, a resident of Harahan, LA, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at the age of 68. She is survived by her two children, who made up the entirety of her world, Eric Breath and Stephanie Geise (Eddie); and by her six grandchildren, Corinne Breath, Cameron Breath, Summer Breath, Eddie Geise, Andrew Geise, and Ethan Geise. She is also survived by Betty Barrosse, her cousin, and many other cousins and friends who loved her so dearly. Denise was preceded in death by her father, Stanley Joseph Barrosse II (1986); mother, Sylvia Ann Barrosse (2001); brother, Stanley Joseph Barrosse III (2022); and brother, Michael Joseph Barrosse (2022). Denise is at peace now in heaven with her parents and brothers. Denise grew up as a resident of Old Metairie. She attended Metairie Grammar and Riverdale High School. You usually only had to meet Denise once, and you would not forget her. She will be missed, loved, and remembered by many. In lieu of flowers, Denise’s family is requesting that a donation be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 11:00 am at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Metairie, LA. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am. Interment will be in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
