Daisy H. Davies

Daisy H. Davies, age 97, passed away on September 20, 2018. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is preceded in death by the late Julius Huhner and Carrie Landry Huhner, and her husband Henry S. Davies, Sr., her sons John and Julius Davies, her two sisters, Anna and Mary, and her grandson Frank Davies. She is survived by her son Henry S. Davies, Jr. (Ramona), three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and her sister Carolyn Schexnayder.

Daisy retired from Bell South as a telephone operator and was a union representative while she was there. She also was a Past Worthy Matron for Eastern Star. She loved her animals and enjoyed conversation with anyone she came into contact with. She enjoyed doing charity work and assisted many people. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank Abby of hospice and the staff at Chateau Living Center in Kenner for their care and support.

Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 9:00 am – 11:00 am at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana, with a Mass of Christian Burial Service beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will immediately follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4900 Airline Hwy, Metairie, Louisiana.
