Curry Joseph Ducote

Curry “C.J” Joseph Ducote passed away peacefully on December 3, 2023, at the age of 82. Born June 22, 1941, he was preceded in death by his parents, Curry and Edna Rose Daigle Ducote and brother, Perry A. Ducote.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara and children; daughter, Kay Falgout (Greg), son, Dwayne Ducote, and daughter, Renee Ducote. He is also survived by his two sisters, Patsy and Grace, three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

After serving in the United States Navy from 1961 - 1966, he worked at Western Union for 24 years as a telecommunications technician and was a Texas State Corrections Officer for 20 years.

He loved fishing and sporting events and will be remembered for his wit and quirky personality.

A memorial service will be held on December 14, 2023, at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Metairie, LA. Visitation will be held from 9AM - 11AM with a private interment to be held at a later date.
